Professional SAT and ACT Prep.

My name is Michael Parker and I teach students the strategies they need to be successful on the SAT and/or the ACT.

Advantages of my services:

Credentials: I am a state certified teacher who has a Masters' Degree in Teaching Secondary Social Studies.

Results: My previous students have averaged over 200 points gained!

Convenience: I meet students at or around their homes (whichever they prefer). At the first session we come up with a schedule to best suit each student's needs.

Class Size: My class sizes are entirely determined by the students. This insures the groups are smaller, students get more individual attention, and work with people they are comfortable with.

Materials: Students receive a notebook containing all their SAT materials, and a College Board book.

Experience: During the 2010-2011 school year alone I tutored over 80 students in either a small group or classroom setting.

“Thanks to Michael’s private tutoring, my daughter improved her score by 220 points.  This increase enabled her to receive college scholarships in excess of $50,000!"

*Laura Smith, mother of Cameron Smith, Charlotte Latin, Class of 2010

"Michael was a tremendous help to my daughter and her friend in improving both of their SAT scores and developing successful strategies to tackling this exam. He is thorough, prompt and a consummate professional. I highly recommend Michael to any parent that is looking to help their child maximize their performance on the SAT exam, even for those students that perform well on standardized tests, but desire to improve their scores."

*Bill Gartland, father of Allison Gartland, Mallard Creek Class of 2012

"Michael helped my daughter be well prepared for her SAT test. With his help, my daughter's critical reading score improved significantly. He was also prompt, kind, patient, and very accommodating as far as setting up appointments for her sessions. We had a great experience with Michael as our daughter's SAT tutor and would recommend him to anyone in need of tutoring."

*Marilyn Kleitches, mother of Mimi Kleitches, Charlotte Country Day, Class of 2010
